Celebrate summer
Summer is officially here and what better way to celebrate than with a vast selection of outdoor events from now until September that will keep your iCal as busy as ever. Alfresco everything is a great way to get in the summa groove and sit back and enjoy the music, so to speak. Although this is not a guide to my favorite concerts, festivals, parades, and fireworks, it is a more a OMG what do I wear to wait in line at the Great Lawn at 4pm to snag a ticket to see Shakespere in the Park with my bestie. Here is a little board of ideas that you can wrap your head around before you head out to the park. You don’t want to be left out in the cold, even on a 100 degrees day like today!
From left to right here we go: picnic blanket and basket from Williams Sonoma, get a smilier one here, Karen Walker Super Duper strength sunglasses. A vintage 60′s high waisted plaid skirt, but if you don’t own one, Tommy Hilfilger does those preppy separates quite well, a red white and blue ice pop and some pink lemonade to celebrate all things Americana. Joe’s Jeans short overalls for the child in you, J. Crew chino shorts, Sperry Top-Sider boat shoe, and a J. Crew shirt that will all certainly leave you comfy on the sticky grass.
So relish in the splendor that is summertime. Most of all, stay cool. That’s all I have for now!
