A Game Changer
In our celebrity-obsessed culture, there are very few actors that eschew the airbrushed glossy world, and offer striking honesty both in pose and content. Julianne Moore is that rarefied unique actress. She is an artist who extends our way of seeing things, making them more real. Moore exaggerates her roles as she digs deep into the human psyche. I am enthralled with her work as she opens up my eyes, and I’m sure millions of others, to new ideas of taste and beauty with full disclosure. This photo of Moore, taken from T Magazine, summarizes her stunningly good looks.

The same can be said for style’s ability to give us interchangeable identities. One day you can project yourself in layers of fringe, denim jorts, and big hats c/o Coachella, and the next day you go back to work in your pyjamas, fulfilling the various vicarious parts of us. Striking strawberry red hair and a heavy dose of imperfection, Moore is my role model who doesn’t “sunbathe in admiration”, but rather admires the world as a whole by managing not just to entertain you, but to elevate the doldrums of the everyday. My takeaway? In the fashion world where age and youthful looks truly matter, being true to myself and remaining real might just be the ticket and the right thing to do.
Here she is photographed below in all her fiery glory.
