Holy Sale!
I found myself endlessly searching the black hole of Nordstrom and ShopBop last night as Memorial Day weekend is the tell-tale sign that spring clothing are on sale and its time to invest in their discounted wares. It was a far less cerebral experience than watching Hangover III, and then the New York Magazine article about heading to outer space, or the book I immersed myself in. Nonetheless, I have parties to attend, and upcoming events that require I show up in more than my typical pyjamas.
So I went on my usual hunt, carefully placing items in my cart that will be worn for more than one, two, or three occasions. Yes, my wallet is a little bit lighter today, and my closet is currently going through withdrawals as I am making room for the new. My philosophy goes like this: If I haven’t worn an item for over a year, it’s no longer something I need. When considering precisely what to throw away, ask yourself this question: will I ever wear it again and will you miss it when its gone? For the often hyper trendy, fleeting items, you’re probably wondering…what if it comes back? If it does reappear, don’t worry Zara has got you covered.
That said, there are plenty of options available for reselling the unwanted, and mine go to Copious.
Waiting in store is not an option for me and plenty of others who would rather be with their families, enjoying BBQ’s and getting some extra R + R. So be it. Head on over to my hunts where most of these reside, or on the collage below where I have done the dirty work for you. There are no maps to follow, just make sure the click of your mouse heads over to the SALE sign.
