Timo Weiland Fall 2015
Fashion shows are not just about the clothes. The clothes are just a part of the whole picture. There are the models, the space, the music, and the vibe. If everything goes smoothly, the show is a success. I can count on one of my favorite designers and friend, Timo Weiland, to always get this right.
I headed over to Pier 59, to catch a glimpse of his vision for fall, and his take on everyday dressing. The music was on point, the venue was just right, and at 9am, I enjoyed hiding away from the cold streets below.
But about those clothes. Striped bombers, chunky grey wool beanies, sweatshirts, and pencil skirts in pops of lilac, the collection was totally downtown chic, without trying too hard. The loose silhouettes and layers were so inviting, and shirts tied at the waist brought in a subtle 90’s grunge vibe that played out so nicely with the rest of the collection. I can’t wait to place my order for Fall!
