How to Style A Suit from Day to Night
With all the shindigs happening this time of year, it’s easy to get party-dress fatigue from seeing the same couple of concepts over and over: LBDs, turtlenecks, and especially sequins — lots of sequins. However, one of this year’s standout trends has nothing to do with how one’s outfit catches the light on the dance floor. Rather, it’s about texture. What’s soft to the touch and surprisingly adaptable to myriad silhouettes and options? A plush suit. Running to an office party after hours, you can easily throw on a dress. But how about something different? You know how much I love a good blazer. Take your 9 to 5 right into cocktail hour with a suit. Here is how to style a suit from day to night.
A suit is exactly what it might conjure up in your mind, a suit. Buttoned-up and alas, boring. But it doesn’t have to be. This season’s offerings are anything but. Here I took a corporate gray suit from work to party by adding a sequin turtleneck that glows just like sparkliest numbers you have in your closet. I add some glitter for great nighttime dressing. Perfect for New Years! A suit is more elegant then these popular party pieces. I layered a sleeveless ivory turtleneck to break up the gray, and sneakers for a casual look. Suit up!

When the day is done, expense reports are filed, its time to turn the conversation from the water cooler to the bar. Change into a lace up top, and ivory boots. Nobody will ever know you even went to work.
