Spring in New York is never what it seems. I have written about the fickle behavior of springtime and its non-conventional path towards warmer days, and it never changes. Maybe if I don’t jinx it one day it will actually be spring, but I am not going to go there today. Focusing on the task at hand, we want to shed the layers but can’t so how do we solve this dilemma? And for those of us who don’t keep up our hair on the reg, Amazon is a source of delight and discovery, offering up problem-solving products we never knew existed and surprisingly fashion-forward wardrobe staples. Hence this $2.50 barrette that I can’t take my eyes off of. An early adopter of this trend, the inexpensive but eye-catching item keeps popping up more and more. All it is is a clip-style barrette made oversized by a pavé of glossy pearls, or tiny stones, but it definitely revs up my outfit especially when my hair is in between washes.
