Apparel Trade Shows Las Vegas: A Round-Up

I headed to Vegas for my very first MAGIC Convention and FN Platform Shoe Show. Anyone who is anyone in fashion or a related field was either exhibiting, buying, or blogging.  While MAGIC is the hub of the convention, the adjacent trade shows comprised of apparel, footwear, accessories, and social media resources as well.

Getting to all of my appointments involved long frenzied days of shuttling back and forth from WWDMAGIC‘s Central Hall, to the North Hall, to the media-savvy trend center, FN Platform, The Mandalay Bay Convention Center, Project Show, The Pooltradeshow, and the Workroom. I was on elevators, escalators, hallway mazes, and in and out of booths. The show was so cool, I didn’t want to leave — I checked out as many booths as humanly possible during my 2 day whirlwind. Yes, Vegas is a great city, but I didn’t see anything but my hotel room and the massive convention centers. I did manage to get to see the inside of theWynn casino. (Luck be a lady tonight!)

My goal on this quick  trip was to see fashion, give out my business cards and meet a lot of new friends. And that’s exactly what happened.
