Come And Get It While It’s Hot

Happy Monday! Now that the World Cup is over, what is driving you out of bed today? It is July 14th, just about the middle of the month, are you taking advantage of your long summer weekends? I know I am.

Today on the Fashion Hunter, let’s chat about motivation. What gets you out of bed in the morning? When it’s a hot and sunny summer day, your choices of what to eat (insert ice cream, cupcakes no more), what Shakespeare concert to see, what rooftop to attend, and which open-air festival you will appear at are endless. How about when its hot and muggy and you don’t want to do the above activities? Grab a book. I’m reading Amy Sohn’s sharp new novel, The Actress.

What motivates me is finding new and small designers, each with a unique story of passion and vision and dedication to their craft to putting them together with established brands to form a collective. Opened for the summer months, The Hamptons Collective is Bridgehampton’s newest contemporary fashion pop-up. Situated in an open, light-filled gallery space, the shop features an organic curation of emerging fashion designers alongside high-end beauty, gift and lifestyle brands. The Hamptons Collective stocks lines from the likes of Tess Giberson, KES, Carlos Falchi, Forma De Ser and House Account’s FACE Stockholm and Emy Mack.
