DANNIJO treasures

 

It is that time of year again when my inbox is getting flooded with sample sale invites. I bet yours is too. But if you are going to go to just ONE sale, this is NOT the one to skip. 

DANNIJO, the edgy sophisticated jewelry line, is one of my go-to’s in the treasure chest that is my closet. I love wearing all my purchases from their line because they speak for themselves–making any outfit so très chic. Founded by sisters Danielle and and Jodie Snyder, their jewels are hand-made in New York. Even better, the showroom is chock-full of surprises and eclectic thing-a-ma-jigs.  When I last visited, they had both returned from a world tour that included far-flung places, such as Istanbul and Morocco. I remember noticing all the tiny boxes of beads and stones that closely resemble rock candy that end up as jewels on necklaces, rings, and bracelets. In my treasure chest.

Danielle, a bohemian and rocker-girl at heart and Jodie, is the more timeless and tailored classic sister. Combined they make for a killer duo creating ever-changing fabulous collections and I am so glad to be part of their world.

Hailing from Florida, the sisters taught themselves wirework at an early age by fiddling with their father’s medical supplies. Their hobby got noticed, turned into full-fledged business, and the rest is history. Dannijo jewelry is sold at high-end boutiques and stores around the country. Celebrities like Natalie Portman, Blake Lively, Rihanna, and Beyoncé follow their line. But as an insider living in New York, the best part is getting the same goods for less.
