Iced Coffee

Nude tones, like the current favorite aptly named, Iced coffee are on my radar right now. These warm soft tones are an elegant alternative to this season’s bold colors and prints. If the thought of wearing neutral shades leaves you feeling washed out, take heed. My advice? Incorporate neutrals into your wardrobe starting with a transition from black to white or cream. This is so seamless as the weather starts getting warmer, we lean towards lighter colors and a softer palette. The spring/summer catwalks that gave birth to the trend inspired me to test it out. My favorite color for spring is actually named Iced coffee, my go-to drink I look forward to every season. Make that cold brewed. Everyone talks about timeless investments, garments that evolve... Read More

Fashion Influencers

There are so many talented powerful that contribute to fashion’s billion dollar industry and it’s not only the highest-grossing designers. Spring Shoe Trends

We’re all for a sartorial shake-up in the shoe department come Springtime. With the weather so fickle, we never know from one day to the next whether we will have to wear socks with the sandals we just purchased, or keep on the boots. One thing is for sure. It’s time for a closet refresher. Obviously, overhauling your entire closet isn’t exactly practical nor an option, but its time to take a healthy assessment of your shoes. Instead of overhauling your entire closet, breathe some fresh air into your wardrobe with the simple introduction of a pair of non-black work shoes. Or add a pair of vibrant pumps, metallic sandals and a pair of fresh ballet flats! This is a foolproof way to inject spring vibes into your... Read More

Sweater Weather

Generally speaking, we reserve most of our knits for winter. Once the warmer months come we are only too happy to pack them away in favor of lighter, breezier garments. BUT for the last few years Mother Nature seems to be blurring the lines between the seasons. I mean, snow in March? What a drag. This weather puts us in quite the funk. To part with our winter knits, or not to part with our winter knits, that is the question. Because of course the second you pack them away the temperature drops below zero again. This is why you should place a high value on transitional clothing pieces. Something that can take us from winter to early spring is a must. The sweater dress... Read More

Spring Forward

If this past week was any indication, Spring is approaching quickly. If I were to describe Spring as a personality, I would have to say that Spring is moody and funky, and can be extremely fickle and unpredictable. Last week we reached a high of 75 degrees and today, it’s pouring rain, and a high of 40. Mood? Spring #fail. One day it’s hot, then it’s cold. Today is raining and hailing, and suddenly, the sun comes out! That said, March is worst of the bunch. I love the months of April and May when the trees and flowers are in bloom. It is such a pretty time of year. The fluctuations in weather bring about various complications, namely, what to wear?! When you get... Read More

How to Nail a Chic Bomber Jacket Look

Just in time for Spring, those standard flight-ready style, bomber jackets are back in a major way. Designers took on the Americana Sports trend and tweaked it for this street meets chic look. See Balenciaga, Celine, Iro, and Band of Outsiders. The latest iterations of bomber jackets are all about luxe treatments and unexpected detail. Think pops of color, a fur collar, vintage iron patches, etc. proving their versatility and inherent chic factor. And while the topper is often reserved for off-duty, I am coveting a more refined look by pairing it with an all-black ensemble. These super hot statement jackets are the perfect fresh, sporty pieces which have arrived just in time for a wardrobe refresher. The bomber jacket is so easy to wear. Trust me. and now they are on... Read More

Neutral Palette

It is currently snowing in NYC, but I am ready for Spring. Weather fail, but hey it’s March! To add a little something different to my look I decided to play with a neutral palette. Neutrals are the foundation of any wardrobe as they match with literally everything. One of the most elegant combinations is neutrals paired together; think white on white, grey on grey, and blush on blush. Kanye West is all about that neutral palette. During Fashion Week, I pulled this camel on camel look together as it was the easiest way to look chic without too much effort. Fashion week is no easy feat, so on the last freezing cold New York City day, I was happy to gravitate to something more subdued... Read More

How to Keep on A Fitness Routine

Image: Harpers Bazaar Finding the time and energy to workout is not easy. For example, today is windy, and I don’t want to sweat. What? Excuse number one. I used to make these type of excuses all the time and rarely would I fit a workout in my busy schedule. Other examples are you’re too busy, have too much work, just ate, it’s too early, it’s too late, you just washed your hair, it’s freezing cold, it’s boiling hot, it’s happy hour, blah blah blah. Do these signs ring a bell? With trial and error, I found there are two tricks on how to keep on a fitness routine. I will let you in on this. They are not secrets. One is to schedule your gym time. Put... Read More
