Test-Driving the Skinny Scarf

Fashion is so fickle, and that is one of the reasons I love it so. One day, depending on my mood and the weather, I might feel like wearing a blazer, skinny jeans, and Gucci loafers and the next, put on a velvet jumpsuit just because. Women really get to have all the fun when it comes to fashion. Sorry guys! We can incorporate different lengths, experiment with shape, color, and anything we can dream up on a daily basis. We can even dress like men incorporating ties if we want to. We get mini skirts, pinafores, wide leg trousers. In short, that is why I love fashion. And lately I have been experimenting with lots of different possibilities especially when it comes to accessories.... Read More

Barbour Experience

Fall is a great time to both enjoy the city and escape to the country. Barbour hosted a blogger event at the Orvis Sandanona Shooting Grounds to experience the essence of Barbour and country life where myself along with a host of other bloggers were suited up for a “day in the country.” I knew I would be well-dressed for the #BarbourExperience, clearly I was unsure of what I was getting into. What an experience it was! Barbour sent us out to explore nature, shoot some guns, and learn how to fly fish. I think I was made for the outdoors, yet I am such a city girl. These questions are normal and I am not alone in my denim concerns. I think this short video clip by celebrity stylist Mary Gonsalves Kinney will show you four ways to rock denim this fall that will make your baby blues look their best. Three Easy Steps to Boost Up Your Style Quotient

If you are remotely interested in following the footsteps of street style stars during Paris fashion week, there are three easy ways to achieve that. I am told that you don’t need a lot to look of pure chic, but as an American, not a Parisian, I struggle with purchasing less. The French simply know how to get the je ne sais quoi very easily. They buy only the best of the best in luxury every season, add a few accessories, but only pick a select few. I have selected photos from the Chanel runway to demonstrate how to achieve this feat and then taken it to real life. Here are three easy steps to boost up your style quotient. Fringed Scarf

And just like that, the shows in Paris have come to a conclusion, and although there were many threads of yesteryears, a few strong trends stood out in the crowd. Fashion’s love for everything 70’s, fringe, and the 90’s, slip dressing, still prevails. You can grab just about anything fringe right now in any store high or low. So what to wear when you want to show that you are in the know even though it’s not spring yet? The Camel Lot

Lately, I have been craving camel in all sorts of itinerations. In search of what to wear? Camel will always work, but it’s far from basic. Over at The Outnet, there is a page dedicated to camel right now. Call this the Camel Lot. Get it? Wearing any head-to-toe look can be passe, so to spice it up, add a dash of color. This season, I love the combination of camel and red, it feels so fresh. Remember this look from last winter? How can I forget? It is a great way to style yourself for Fall. For me, a cozy sweater and mini skirt are key. Try to keep the head-to-toe look somewhere within the brown family–whether it be oatmeal, donkey, or caramel is up to you. Step... Read More
