When Mary Kate and Ashley were super-cute toddler TV stars, I used to think how cute they were but never imagined that they would create a fashion global empire. The Row, their higher priced line, has been on my radar for quite some time. I have also been on the hunt for their contemporary line, Elizabeth and James. The Paris couture shows were last week and sometimes you need a jolt, in the form of a visual kick in your brain just to keep it rolling along and the energy on the up and up. If the summer months are to teach me anything it is most definitely that delicate fine jewelry outweighs chunky chunkers by a landslide. Part of the reasoning is as follows: Numero Uno : jewelry with massive stones (think in pounds) and chunky cuffs can be very heavy and nobody wants to be worn down in this heat. Number 2. Difficulty of taking weights on and off could pose a problem especially if you are going in and out of the water, and finally number 3: the sun’s rays glistening on the dainty stuff looks fantastic on bronzed skin.
