Recycling The Goods
It’s Wednesday morning, happy hump day! and I am fresh out of ideas of what to wear. The paradox of summer ease is in how difficult it becomes to remove yourself from the black hole that is comfort, wear what I have been wearing every single freaking day, a T-shirt and some form of denim to avoid that inevitable thought that is 100% inaccurate: I have nothing to wear.
Instead, I am combining reliable looks that I have worn previously, and will tango with the thought that I will copy myself. I will wear looks that I have previously put together, verbatim. BORING? No, not quite.
My body is tired of shopping, WHAT? and my mind is bored, (I’m reading my books) that is until the weather starts to change and inspire me to turn me on to move past the recently used section of my closet. It’s just sheer laziness but I don’t mind. These looks looked good on me last year and life is too short to leave a closet full of goods pristinely folded and unworn. So, its time to get the wheels of our closets in motion and recycle some of our favorite looks from our perspective closets.
In this look below, I am wearing a Mango white t-shirt, a Zara skort so in vogue last season that I just recently took it out to play, get it this season at Nasty Gal, and this JW Anderson vest. Didn’t forget about those cool accessories: bracelets from Emily Kammeyer, this Reed Krakoff bag and crocodile Givenchy babies.
