Star-Spangled Style
The 4th of July is just 5 days away and maybe it’s all of the World Cup fever that has me wanting to shout USA! Or maybe it is a verifiable excuse to coordinate some red, white and blue in my wardrobe or even better, hightail it out of the office for a very short week. I think I’ll go for the latter.
Just a forewarning that I received from the weather man, this is going to be a very hot and humid week. And when it gets hot, my brain feels like fried cheese. I tend to call it the summer blues, where the color du jour is blue and loads of comfy, casual, and cool clothing reigns supreme, and the spectacular outfits that I love to wear are hidden in my closet, not on my body.
Because nothing says the dog days of summer, like wispy tank tops with plunging necklines and relaxed trousers with drawstring detailing, complimented by layers of different length gold chains and pendants. Insert a pair of Birkenstocks and, of course the prerequisite hat that talks the talk and walks the walk.

Whatever it is you’re going to do this upcoming weekend, wear pieces that represent your independence…or at least the right to BBQ and enjoy the summer. Whether you spend the day in your house with your dog chilling next to the AC, or in a boat with 100 friends, make it a weekend to remember.
