Summer Fashion
Ahhh Summer. Outdoor dining. Sidewalk culture. Long lingering moments. Hanging at the beach. Beautiful sunsets. Summer Fridays. And easy dressing. It’s a short 3 months here in the Northeast that we all get to enjoy those special moments where the living is easy, so why not dress the part? Here is a guide to Summer fashion.
Nude. Something you only really want in your wardrobe. palette speaking of course, and most commonly associated with summer thanks to the heat of the sun, and keeping it light. Nude looks smoking hot with a tan, fake of course, and washed out denim or navy.
This time of year is when I realise the only viable jackets in my wardrobe are leather, suede and any type of bomber jacket, all of which I love, but are potentially too hot and sticky when you get past the 80 degree mark. So I was in the market for a featherweight jacket when I picked up this Stella McCartney along with a whole other host of things you’ll be seeing a lot of over the summer. At first, it felt a little too fashion for me, but once I got my head around how it can be styled, I realized it would slot into my wardrobe perfectly. Any new purchase I make this season will have to adhere to the following criteria; must work with at least 5 times in my wardrobe, must be low maintenance, and must be multi-tasking. And go well with ripped jeans and white t-shirts.
Flatforms are another summer essential I’d be lost without. While these are full on platforms, they just don’t count as heels to me as they just feel so laidback and summery. Take a peek down below to be inspired.
