White Hot

It’s sale time, Christmas in mid-July in the retail and fashion world, with smoking hot deals at Target July 25 and 26th, but I am still enjoying my icy cold brew and wearing all white. This past winter’s Polar Vortex put me in such a funk that I am enjoying every minute of outdoor life, including its partner in crime, frizz and humidity, that I can stand. Last winter, I threatened mother nature by resolving to leave New York only to realize that longterm, I’d only be hurting myself. New York, I love you and hate you, but I’m here for the long haul. As far as my wardrobe is concerned, it’s always at the tail end  of July that my pure closet feels so blah, that by the end of July, every single summer, I am ready for boots.

Fundamentally style is style and once you have it, it just comes naturally. Take for instance this Tess Giberson white vest that if I could have bagged a pair of pants completely in the name of fashion, I would have. I have strategically worn them over a pair of white shorts, rings placed on a chain, and striped flatworms and the result is an Abbey Road summer including a girl’s night out.
