Why A Boiler Suit Deserves Space in Your Wardrobe This Fall
Oh hey November! Are you slowly getting bored with your sweaters and trousers? Me too. Fall is a great time to start fresh. I have just finished a huge clean out of my entire bedroom and closets. At first I felt naked, that I had nothing to wear, but now that it’s complete, I don’t feel an urge to buy anything. At all. With what’s out there in the marketplace, I now just need to spice up my style. Enter the boiler suit. A workwear in one, a boiler suit is a must have trend for Fall Winter 2018. I love its easy wear I just wouldn’t suggest it for travel and its not easy to go to the loo. But seriously, I’m sold. Bound to be a fashion set favorite on the upcoming fashion week spring/summer 2019 streets, here are some ways to style the sometimes tricky jumpsuit for any occasion. Read on for why a boiler suit deserves space in your wardrobe this fall.

The retro item has successfully come full circle, going from its ’70s disco days to iconic Top Gun and Ghostbuster appearances, to now becoming a modern sartorial staple. Now that the boiler suit has taken over our instagram feeds, I don’t resent the hype. It’s all about the way they hang, shoulder-to-ankle, at once all-consuming and humble. I wonder if anything else that’s so easy could look so cool, so comfy, so forgiving. And so utilitarian! The good ones are essentially storage lockers and I feel so productive when I am wearing one. Like dresses, they give you a whole look in one shot, but unlike dresses, they’re utterly unisex. A more perfect garment possibly doesn’t exist. The first boiler suit I fell in love with hung all stiff and boxy off the shoulders of a lanky New York kid. It was the baggy, shapeless clothing that really wooed me.
